14 day old Henry ~ Sacramento Newborn Photographer
Posted on March 7, 2010
The minute I saw Henry’s little face, I fell in LOVE. At 14 days old he looked just like a little man. I’m not sure the love was mutual, as he was not a big fan of having his picture taken. We had fun anyway and got some pretty cute shots.
Enjoy your sneak peek R & D!

Evan ~ 4 weeks old ~ San Francisco Baby Photographer

Today I had the pleasure of working with this little cutie pie. I lucked out with this guy. Super calm and still a sleepy little frog, even at the ripe old age of 4 weeks!
We took advantage of the lobby of the apartment building and I fell in love with some of the shots we got. I only wish it wasn’t raining so that we could have taken advantage of beautiful neighborhood and adjacent park!
F family, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

The M Family ~ Bay Area family photographer
Posted on December 21, 2009
When the M family contacted me do shoot their 4 month old little girl, they mentioned some of my photos that they liked, which involved a black backdrop. So when I headed out to their San Francisco apartment, I came prepared, with backdrop in hand. The minute I saw their apartment I knew there was no way we were using the backdrop. Everywhere I turned there was a cool texture, pattern or archway. If I ever set up a studio, I might just have to have Megan come in and decorate it for me!
Then miss Hannah wakes up and is a DOLL to work with! This little cutie did not make a fussy peep, not even once. I am so excited to get to do 2 more shoots with the M family and watch as Hannah grows from baby to toddler.
I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peak!

Isaac – 11 days new – Bay Area Newborn Photographer
Posted on November 8, 2009
Last month I had great fun working with Jody and Steve for their maternity session. I was so excited to finally get an email that Isaac had arrived! I traveled to San Francisco yesterday to meet him and do some newborn photographs. He wasn’t the biggest fan of having his pictures taken but I think we got some great shots despite that. He spent a long time being awake, happy and aware. Such a cutie pie!
Grandma is the secret weapon to getting him to burp. As soon as she came around, he burped and then was as happy as could be! Grammies really are the best.

It seems like it has been ages since I met Rachel and Christoper to work with them on their maternity shoot. I was starting to think that baby Cameron might never born! I was thrilled to meet with the family in their home, to photograph Cam at just 9 days old.
Thank you Christopher and Rachel, enjoy your sneak peek!

Jonathan – 4 weeks – Bay Area Baby Photographer

It is amazing how quickly they grow. Especially when you aren’t there to see them everyday. It is hard to believe that it has been 4 weeks since I photographed the birth of Jonathan.
Just a couple quick teasers of the proud, beautiful mama.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Emily and her parents. Emily, Emily, Emily…A little explorer. Such a happy little toddler, as long as she wasn’t being contained! Fascinated by every little leaf and rose petal. So happy to play with a stick or a rock. I just love the curiosity and innocence of 18 month olds.
I hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek!

Just a few weeks ago I was lucky enough to witness this little cutie coming into the world. I can’t believe how much she has grown in just a few short weeks.

Libby and Family ~ San Francisco Bay Area Maternity Photographer
Posted on August 19, 2009
I met Libby a couple of years ago through an online community of local moms. At the time, she was anxiously awaiting the birth of her daughter. Though, she was not pregnant. Libby and her husband had made the decision to adopt. This decision came after years of trying to have a child, working with fertility specialist, losses and tears. Let me tell you, JLK (as she is knows) is the cutest little spunky kiddo! She and Libby are an amazing team. The minute I met both of them I fell in love with the way that they interacted.
Can you imagine all of our surprise when, earlier this year Libby cautiously announced that she was pregnant!? No longer actively trying, it was even a shock to her. In fact, it is extremely rare for couples who have had issues with infertility to get pregnant after adopting. Though we’ve all heard stories or know someone who knows someone, it happens to less than 8%.
When Libby revealed her pregnancy I had tears streaming down my face. I even get teary eyed thinking about it now! It was a powerful moment that I will not soon forget. Libby, through all of this has been amazing. Her out look on life, on the journey she has taken, is incredible. To be able to look at your losses in life and see the lessons in them, to see how they have shaped you and then to feel thankful for all of it. To be thankful for the journey. Takes an amazingly strong and spirited person. Libby is that person.
This is the story that had to be told, to understand why these pictures are so special.
Libby, I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

JLK Showing off her baby belly (sidenote: JLK was *not* herself this day and ended up getting sick at the end of our shoot. Poor baby!)

Alison, Brandyn and Andrew – Bay Area Family Photographer

I was kindly reminded by a friend today that I haven’t updated this blog for a while. I’ve been so busy lately, please forgive me!
A few weeks ago I got together with Alison and Brandyn to take some maternity shots. Here are a couple of my favourites.
Baby’s nursery theme is children’s books, so we thought it would be fun to use that these for a couple of maternity pictures. This one is my favourite.
This past Thursday I had the extreme pleasure of shooting Baby Andrew’s newborn session. He is a doll! What a handsome family in deed!
I promise I will not go so long between blog posts next time around. In fact, I have some pictures from a few of my other recent shoots all resized and ready to go. So expect a new blog post TOMORROW!
